Loyal followers of the actress are demanding that a man who breached a fence and touched the performer during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or deported from Singapore.

A circulating video reveals the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past photographers and lunging at Grande while the performers made its way down a promenade accompanied by supporters.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the gathering by guards.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being arrested", though official papers showed that he was scheduled to attend court on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was charged.

History of Event Invasions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram feed includes recordings of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last December.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," commented an Instagram commenter, in a message to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user questioned.

Supporters Express Concern Over the Star's Past Trauma

Many supporters criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had revealed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented one more response on Instagram.

A number of attendees also faulted event staff at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while some demanded digital services to block Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Event Details

In clips circulating online, Grande looked startled when she was approached by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of fans had assembled in a sea of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore shopping center, including some who had queued for as long as eight hours before it commenced.

The movie, to be launched on the 21st of November, is the follow-up of a dual version of the well-known theatrical musical Wicked, which centers on the surprising friendship between two contrasting witches.

The show itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a rosé sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of 2024 in the UK, and received 10 award recognitions, earning two for best costume and production design.
